He was predeceased by: his child Ingo Pagel; his parents, Josef Detert and Margaret Detert; and his brother Josef. He is survived by: his wife Lore; his children, Marina Pagel (Brian) and Thomas Detert; his grandchild Mathieu Beauchesne (Steph); and his siblings, Inge, Herbert, Hannelore and Marlies.
