He was predeceased by: his child Christy; his parents, Fina Aceti and Gaspare Aceti; and his parents-in-law, George and Ellen Thompson.

He is survived by: his spouse Laurie; his children, Patti (Shawn Telfer), Gasper (Candice Aceti) and Andrea (Daniel Niven); his grandchildren, Austin, Kaleb, Carter, Gionni, Brianna, Luca and Aria; his sisters, Lillian Donato (Tony) and Rita Francella (Frank); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen Szadkowski (Ted), Chris (Gina), Georgia Katajamaki (Michael), Heather Thompson and Erin Saunders (Greg). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre (Cancers of the Blood), Calgary Alberta (https://www.albertacancer.ca donate/) would be appreciated by the family.
