Gina Mio Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gina Mio (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), who passed away on March 3, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Silvio; and her siblings, John Durat (Enrica), Marino Durat (Pina) and Pierina (Ermes Ferroli). She is survived by: her children, Sergio Mio (Janice) and Nellie Mio (Hans Hinding); her grandchildren, Nathan Mio (Kiersten) and Vanessa Quiring (Peter); her great grandchildren, Sante, Harrison and Evangeline Mio; and her caregiver Tina Platt.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K7). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the SAH Foundation or St. Gregory's Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
