He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Olar; his siblings, Bill Olar, John Olar (late Dorothy), Dorothy Burke (late Albert), Helen Ambeault (late Ray), Walter Olar (Isabell), Michaelo Olar, Dan Olar (late Gertie), Paul Olar (late Pat), Pauline Pallot (late Lawrence), Charlie Olar (late Leona), Eli Olar (Faye), Marion Olar, Nellie Loney (Stan) and Harry Olar; and his parents, Fred Olar and Maria Olar.

He is survived by: his children, Karen, John Morrison, Gary and Wendy Olar; his grandchildren, Melissa Morrison (Brian Veldt), Sarah Wierzbicki (Paul), Geoff Olar (Rita), Amy Kasubeck (Tyler), Kyle Olar (Julia Hancott), David, George, Emma and Jacob Wierzbicki; his great grandchildren, Elena, Andy Olar, McKinley and Kennedy Kasubeck; his siblings, Anne Derkach (Ed), Carolyn Strong (late Walter) and Nick Olar (Janice); his siblings-in-law, June Beaton and Ronnie Bennett; and his niece Dawna Kinnunen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
