With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Erna Irene Kay (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johannes Burghout and Rika Burghout; her son Brian Sired; her siblings, Janet Dwars and Joseph Burghout; and her husband Rob Kay.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Melton, Eric Sired, Cathy Grant and Steven Sired; and her siblings, Betsy Closs, Jim Burghout and Ben Burghout. She is also survived by her siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to ARCH.
