She was predeceased by: her husband Ivan Asselin; and her siblings, Nolene (Orville), Gladys (Walter), Shirley (Floyd), Flora (Bob), Jim (Arlene) and Woodrow (Ruby).

She is survived by: her children-in-law, Ruth Benson, John Benson, Elizabeth Miles, Neil Miles, Esther Havlin and Bruce Havlin; her grandchildren, Andrea Hatch, Tim Hatch, Philip Benson, Tara Benson, Eric Miles, Alyssa Miles, Brent Miles, Kali Miles, Lindsay Elliott and Adam Elliott; her sister Doris Behnke (late Lawrence); and her sister-in-law Reta Tulloch (late Frank). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
