She was predeceased by: her significant other Francesco; her son Luigi "Gino" (Sandra); her siblings, Teresa Fata (late Fiore), Antonio (Anna) and Nicola Fata (late Ortenzia); and her siblings-in-law, Rosaria Gallo (late Antonio), Carmela Lepore (late Saverio), Nicola Bennardo Ciddio (late Maria), Ernesto Bernardo (late Paolina), Rosina Pucci (late Francesco) and Maria Gallo (late Bruno).

She is survived by: her daughter Josephine "Pina" Bennardo (Tony); her grandchildren, Sonia Bennardo (Phil), Nicole Wood-Solomon (Kevin), Antonio Frank Bennardo (Michaela), Anthony, Audrina and Carina; and her siblings, Salvatore Fata (late Lisa) and Amadeo Fata (Louisa).

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the O'sullivan Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (215 St James St, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A1P7). A Mass was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Gerard Majella Church (211 Pentagon Blvd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6B5J4). An entombment was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (27 Fourth Line E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K8).

Memorial donations may be made to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District.
