He was predeceased by: his parents, David "Harold" Newman and Etta Newman; and his siblings, Karen Couturier (late Wilbert), Irwin Newman and Steven Newman (Christine).
He is survived by: his children, John Paul (Karen), Luke (Kelly) and Becky Jackson (Gordy); his grandchildren, Jasmine (Nicholas), Lucas (Abbie) and Rose; his great grandchild Travis; and his sisters, Maureen Mason (late Richard), Nancy Delavalle and Jacqueline Coutts (Alan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
