He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta Louise Cress; his parents, Cecil Cress and Marguerite Cress; and his siblings, Jack Cress (Diane) and Eileen Sweeney (Cress).

He is survived by: his children, Norman Cecil III (Christine), Daniel and Teresa; his sibling Gail Sheppard; and his granddaughters, Rosie (Matt) and Melissa (Ryan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
