He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Shaw and Blake Shaw; and his brother Blake. He is survived by: his children, Valerie F Shaw, Christopher L Shaw and Matthew E Shaw; his grandchildren, Shayla Geroux and Spencer Shaw; his great grandchildren, Harper and Noah; his siblings, Ron and Glen; and his nieces and nephews, Tanis, Latalian and Jill Ollikainen.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
