He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Johnston and Pearl Johnston; and his siblings, Madeline Allen (late Don), Bill Johnston (late Alice), Ellen Johnson (late Doug), Mary Emery and Warren Johnston (late Pat).
He is survived by: his child Marnie Barkley (Bill); his close friends, John and Laura Coccimiglio; and also Miriam Johnston.
