She was predeceased by: her husband Calvin; her daughter Lorna Guise (Dan); her grandchild Dean "James" Morrison; her great grandchild Anthony Politano Jr.; her parents, Lorne Rathwell and Agnes Rathwell; her brothers, Bill Rathwell (late Ethel), Ken Rathwell (late Bernice) and Carl Rathwell; her father-in-law Elmer; and her siblings-in-law, Beulah Scott (late Wilson Scott) and Graham Hurley (late Dorothy).

She is survived by: her children, Carol Findlay (Jim) and Wesley Hurley; her great grandchildren, Kasey Politano (Vicky) and Zackary Politano (Ella); and her sister Joyce Newman (late Roy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
