Anja Karhuniemi Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2024, at the age of 84, Anja Karhuniemi (Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anja Karhuniemi to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Anja farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Anja is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Heiki Huttunen and Signe Huttunen; her husband Toivo Karhuniemi; and her sibling Tapio Huttunen (Finland). She is survived by: her son Allan Karhuniemi (Ottawa); her son-in-law Robert Ashton (Ottawa); and her sibling Ari Huttunen (Finland).
