He was predeceased by: his brother Manuel Carpinteiro. He is survived by: his wife Sara; his children, Maria Bergeron (Mark) and Jose Lopes (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Taylor Bergeron, Jesse and Jake Lopes; his siblings, Irene Carpinteiro (late Duarte), Parinho, Amelia Marques (Frank) and Sara Monteiro (Ray); and also, Portugal and France. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
