He was predeceased by: his grandson Lance; his parents, Francisca Vanderloo and Antonios Vanderloo; his siblings, Maria VandeMeirden (late Tony), Arnold Vanderloo (late Anita), Frank Vanderloo (Mary) and Annie Lee (Terry); and his brother-in-law Robert MacPherson (late Gloria).
He is survived by: his wife Reta; his children, John (Heather), Susan McEwan and Michael (Rachelle); his grandchildren, Jayme McEwan, Johnny, Jesse, Chelsey McEwan, Deanna, Julie, Mitchell and Cody; his brother Anthony Vanderloo Jr. Long; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ryckman (late Angus) and Brenda Odber (Fred). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A5K7). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel.
Memorial donations to ARCH or the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie would be greatly appreciated by the family.
