He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen "Mirriam" Roote; his children, Melanie, Gregg and Jamie; his grandchildren, Presley, James, Brandon, Braxton and Maylee; and his siblings, Roger Wesley, Ronald Root (Janet), Marilyn Root, Leon Root (Charlene), Theresa Root (Edwin), David Root (Ellen), Renita Nawash and Gregg Root. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
