He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Johnstone and Alfred Johnstone. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Curtis Yake (Michelle) of Durham, Jonathan Yake of Sauble Beach and Ryan Johnstone of Burlington; his grandson Joshua Yake; and his siblings, Heather Henry (Peter) of Dundas, Mary Duncan of British Columbia and Gordon Johnstone of Mississauga. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
