She was predeceased by: her siblings, Bern Smythe (Carolyn), Barb St. Pierre and Catherine Matthews (Jim Caldwell); and her parents, Bernard Smythe and Marion Smythe.
She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Carey. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Bruce Trail Conservancy.
