He was predeceased by: his parents, Vicky Zimmer and Donald Zimmer. He is survived by: his wife Jill; his daughters, Babette, Monique, Shamine, Jenny, Vicki and Megan; his grandchildren, Braedan, Presten, Showlin, Clay, Lara, Addi, Kirk, Lance, Neil, Chantel, Andrea and Samantha; his great grandchildren, Ayda, Henry, Allora and Emmett; and his siblings, Greg, Debbie, Kathy and Jeff.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are being requested in Richie's name by his family.
