She was predeceased by: her spouse Vilho Purontaka; her siblings-in-law, Liisa Kultanen and Aino Viitasalo; her parents, Emil Lohi and Editha Lohi; and her siblings, Kalevi Lohi and Paula Sinkkonen (Tauno).
She is survived by: her sibling Outi Lohi; her godchild Sirkka; her siblings-in-law, Maire Lohi and Kerttu Purontaka; her niece Brenda Viitasalo; her nephew John Viitasalo of Levack; and her friends, Art and Annie Cotton.
