It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Francis Panik (Sarnia, Ontario), born in Oil Springs, Ontario, who passed away on June 3, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Panik and Simon Panik; his sons, Jeff and Jamie Panik; his grandson Jonah Panik; and his sister Mary Burgos (late John).
He is survived by: his children, Jill Galloway (Jeff), Joe Panik Jr. (Tara), Janice Brown (Andrew) and Judi Panik-Joseph (late Carlos); his sister Valerie Verberg (late Hank); his brothers-in-law, Tim Mondoux (Barb) and Pete Mondoux (Mary Ann); and his grandchildren, Jace Galloway (Julia Gilroy), Jenna Galloway, Sierra Joseph (Reid Gertridge), Jessica Irene Brown and Abby Panik. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the restrictions of Covid19, a private family graveside service will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
