She was predeceased by: her son Freddie; her parents, Herman Voege and Melinda Voege (Nuhn); and her sister Susan Dewyer. She is survived by: her husband David Newman; her son Michael Newman; her grandchildren, Allysen, Suzanne Newman of Sarnia and Christine Garby of Stratford; her great grandchildren, Jade of Stratford, Hudson of Stratford and Elizabeth of Stratford; and her siblings, Sharon Fisher and Kenneth Voege. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Due to the current Covid-19 crisis and the current restrictions placed on funeral homes a celebration of Joanne's life will be held at a later date.
