He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Louise; his parents, Dominic and Maria; his siblings, Jim, Phillip, Albert, Victor, Eleanor, Isabelle and Bernie; his nieces and nephews, Laura, Melissa, Brian and Josh; and his parents-in-law, John and Nora Messeroll.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Stewardson (Tom), Jerry Bernardo (Christine), Michael Bernardo (Meriç) and Brenda Pearson (Peter); his grandchildren, Adam Stewardson (Delaney), Josh, Luke Stewardson, Melissa Pecora (Elliot), Zack, Kyle Pearson, Jack, Troy and Sera Bernardo; his great grandchild Henry Pecora; his sister Helen Raby (Hugh); his sisters-in-law, Mary Bernardo, Joan Koshuta, Barbara McManus, Nora Shanahan, Margaret Millar and Deborah MacLeod; and his pet Sophie.
