He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Marion Niessen (McRaild); his children, Tyler Niessen (Andrea) and Rebecca Niessen; his stepchildren, Meredith Goodwin (Kris) and Leslie Wright (Peter); his grandsons, Cole, Lucas and Benjamin; his sibling Ginny (Steve Loeb); his niece Stephanie (Brent); his nephew Matt (Kea); his friends, Howard and Jacqui La Grave; and his parents, Josef Niessen and Kathe Niessen (Kuckelkorn).

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held.
