He was predeceased by: his sister Wilma Quipp (Floyd); and his parent John James. He is survived by: his spouse Mary Alice "Mayme" Hillis (Bothwell); his child Brenda McLellan (Hillis); his siblings, Korleen Hillis (Hillis Halbert) of Markdale, Alvin Hillis (Mary Hillis) of Owen Sound and Don Hillis of Chesley; his grandchildren, Tyler McLellan (Kirstin) and Jason McLellan (Bonnie Sterritt); his great grandchildren, Tytin, Colton and Lincoln; and his parent Ruby May Hillis (Acton). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Southwestern Ontario , Talbotville United Church or the M.S. Society.
