It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William James Gilbert (Saint-Thomas, Ontario), who passed away on June 26, 2018, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Allison; and his parent James "Jim". He is survived by: his spouse Eileen Gilbert; his children, Stephanie Farrow (Ken) of Belmont, Susan Bond (Jason) of Chatham, Stacie Perkins (Ben) of London and Sarah McLeod (Jamie) of St. Thomas; his grandchildren, Devon, Dustin, Darah Farrow, Callie, Larissa, Elliot Bond, Gillian Perkins, Raylee McLeod and Makayla McLeod; his sibling Susan O'Brien (Jerry) of St. Thomas; his sibling-in-law Jean Proud (Jan) of Belmont; and his parent Barbara Gilbert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private interment in St. Thomas Cemetery . Memorial donations to St. Joseph 's Health Care Foundation – Rheumatology Foundation (519-646-6085), The Lung Association, Belmont United Church or the charity of one's choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
