Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Vera Shearer (Saint-Thomas, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 92, on December 25, 2020. She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Shearer; her brother Edwin Cook; her sister-in-law Agnes "Ennis" Rankin (David); and her parents, Alfred Cook and Rose Hannah Cook (Pearson).

She is survived by: her children, Jeannie Shearer (William Ward) of Gettysburg and Pennsylvania; her grandson Andrew Gillmore (Tanya Khosla) of London; her siblings-in-law, John Shearer (Ena) and Jean McMurdo (late Iain); her friends, Cathy and Greg Grondin; and her close friend Margaret Clark Kirkwood. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
