He was loved and cherished by many people including: his significant other Wendy Cowie; his daughter Jodie Costa (John) of Ilderton; his grandfather Bubba; his son T. J. Hooghiem; his siblings, George Hooghiem (Cory), Sally Haayema (Dirk), Jack Hooghiem (Corrie), Gerald and Gab; his sister-in-law Ina Hooghiem; and his siblings, John Hooghiem and Nellie Hertner. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and friends.
