Thomas Alexander McDermid Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 3, 2019, at the age of 77, Thomas Alexander McDermid (Saint-Thomas, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tina McDermid and Christopher McDermid; and his parents, Peter McDermid and Mary McDermid (MacDonald). He is survived by: his wife Ruth McDermid (Mistele); his children, Peter McDermid (Stephanie), Heather Moerman (Larry) and Karen Lefebvre; his grandchildren, Susan Boldt (Jason), Brandon McDermid (Mackenzie), Mike Spiering (Mallory), Mat Spiering (Alexis), Jaa Dee Moerman (Samantha), Tasha Brownell (Brad), Lauren Moerman and Joshua Lefebvre; his siblings, Peter McDermid (Marina), Mairi Gray (late Peter), Betty Smith (late Tom), Amelia Johnson (Larry), Catherine Fitchett (Ian) and Anne Burgess (late Gary); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Bilyea (Harvey), Anne Velle (Andy) and Carol Mistele (late Paul). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Sick Children or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
