He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gina Koning Twynstra; his children, Nina VanderVaart (Fred), Joe Twynstra (Jean), Nancy Scidmore (Dave), Theresa Richmond (Greg) and Yvonne Darbishire (Rob); his grandchildren, Stuart (Laura), Rachel (Mike), Paul (Melanie), Kaitlin (Ray), Victor (Jody), Jaime (Blair), Justin, Natalie, Kristen, Karly (Cody), Hana and Jack; his great-grandparents, Jesse, Carson (Chloe), Oliver, Eliott, Malachi, Alessia, Sawyer, Malin, Mackinnon (Madelyn), Kade and Hadley; his brothers, Rick (Geisha), George (Darlene) and Clarence (Brenda); his brother-in-law Hank; his parents, Jouke Twynstra (Joe) and Theresa Twynstra; his siblings, Willem Twynstra, Heika Kielstra and Ena Kielstra; and his brothers-in-law, Henk Koning and Peter Kielstra. He was also cherished by many nephews and nieces.
