He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maureen McCormick (Bannon); his children, Lisa (Brian Vanderveen) of St. Thomas and Tim McCormick (Kate Menear) of Toronto; his grandchildren, Nicole (Dylan), Liam, Laura, Miranda Vanderveen, Sydney and Reese McCormick; his siblings, Michelle Alonso (Vince) of London and David (Tina McCormick) of St. Thomas; his brothers-in-law, Brian Bannon (Nadia) of Windsor, Peter Bannon (Jeni Peyton) of Woodstock and Paul Bannon (Laurie Tune) of Brantford; and his parents, Andrew McCormick and Rita McCormick (Thomas). He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
