He is survived by: his child Jody Gillies; his stepson Greg Sutherland; his foster daughter Kathleen Heron (Richard); his grandchildren, Evan Gillies, Madelyn, Mavick Gillies, Elizabeth, Jean and Mathew Heron; his great grandchildren, Serenity and Harmony; and his brother David Gillies.
