He is survived by: his children, Rick Newson (Judy), June MacDonald (Dave) and Jo Purvis (late Verne); his grandchildren, Ryan Newson (Michele), Gregg Newson (Nicole), Eric Newson (Alishia), Derek MacDonald (Caitlyn), Darren MacDonald (Monika), Cheryl Balsden (Josh) and Stacie Hearn (Josh); his great grandchildren, Olivia, Adrian, Christian, Madison, Liam, Logan, Allie, Hailey, Brooke, Caleb, Henry, Brinley and Leah; his sister-in-law Ruth Newson (late Jim); his close friend Doreen Dalton; and his wife Barb.
