He was predeceased by: his wife Helen; his grandson Justin Siple; his parents, John Hume and Thurza Maria (Parish); and his siblings, Charles, Edna (Parker), Durward, Donald and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Cockram (Jim) of Ottawa, Christine Haberer (Bob) of Norwich, Allen (Amber) of Fingal, Connie Troutman (Kevin) of Cornwall and Richard (Margaret) of St. Thomas.
