He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Catterson and Sophie Catterson (Brown); and his wife Margaret Catterson (McNaughton). He is survived by: his children, Peter Catterson (Lynne), Gordon Catterson and Lorraine Marson (Rick); his grandchildren, Sheri (Marcel), Katie (Josh), Peter (Nicole), Chad (Amanda), Chantel and Cheriss (Ben); his great grandchildren, Taylor, Jaden, Isaac, Finnley, Austin, Hannah and Peter; his sisters-in-law, Ruby Holtby, Sadie Barnier and Janette Chalton; and his cousins, Sadie and Ronald.

In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners in Peters name.
