He was predeceased by: his parent Arthur DeBackere. He is survived by: his children, Joanne Brown (late Steven), Rick DeBackere (Jenn), Dan DeBackere (Joanna) and Diane VanderHeyden (Rob); and his parent Godeleive DeBackere (DeRaeve). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends.
