It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maxine Janes (Saint-Thomas, Ontario), born in Port Rexton, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Janes (Bill); her parents, Cecil Ploughman and Lucy Ploughman; and her brother Lloyd. She is survived by: her children, Carol Wiacek (Bruce), Mike (Debbie), Matt (Joan) and Rick (Susie); her grandchildren, Scott (Andrea), Steven (Andrea), Melanie (Jeff), Billy (Brie), Sara (Nadine), Andy (Alisha) and Fauve (Jon); her great grandchildren, Colton, Jesse, Mia, Jack, Eli and Piper; and her sister-in-law Jean. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins.
