She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Shelley and Hazel Shelley (Blackwell) of Sparta; her husband Hugh W. "Boots" Rankin; her son Edward John Lowry; her siblings, Irene Helmer, Dorothy Dawdy, Leonard Shelley, Clifford Shelley and Jean Helmer (Melvin); and her friend Bernie Stankevich.
She is survived by: her child Kenenth Murray Groves; her grandchildren, Jason Groves, Mickey Groves (Michaela), Kelly Arseneault and Jennifer Lowry; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Mathew and Christian. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
