It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Mosterd (Saint-Thomas, Ontario), born in Lindsay, Ontario, who passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Wynne Mosterd (Valkenburg); his children, Jonathan Mosterd (Samantha), Rachel DeWaal (James), Nicole Scott (Jordan) and Justin Mosterd (Melanie); his grandchildren, Quinn DeWaal, Corbin Mosterd, John Mosterd, Henry DeWaal, Jillian Mosterd, Jacob Mosterd, Theodore Scott, Norah Mosterd, Izabelle Scott, Abigail Scott and Owen Mosterd; his siblings, Gerald Mosterd (Alice), Edward Mosterd (Linda), Frank Mosterd and Mary Ann Hoogsteen (Robert); his siblings-in-law, Nellie Hoogendoorn (John), Peter Valkenburg (Geraldine), Alice Mosterd (Gerald), Dorothy Kassies (Jerry), John Valkenburg (Wilma), Cristina Arends (John) and Henry Valkenburg (Tina); and his parents, Aart Mosterd and Sietske Mosterd. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
A wake was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fellowship Church (641 Elm St, St Thomas, ON N5R1K9). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the following organizations: St. Thomas Community Christian School, Sakura House Hospice or the London Regional Cancer Centre (LHSC Foundation).
