He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Middel (Tapping). He is survived by: his children, Ron Middel, Glenna Middel, Brenda Haayema, Andy Haayema, Christine Bailey, Chris Bailey, Steve Middel and Vanda Middel; his siblings, Betty Tolsma, Ann Kolkman (Bert), Jake Middel (Aida), Adrian Middel, Ron Middel (Mary), Frances Kuntz (Wayne) and Janna Middel; his parents, Reinder Middel and Janna Middel (Nanninga); and his brothers, Evert Middel and Albert Middel. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Thomas Community Christian School or to the Alzheimer's Society.
