He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jessie Ryckman and Ivan Doyle; his brother-in-law Ivan Willsey; and his parents, James Doyle and Eileen Doyle (Inch).

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Doyle (Willsey); his daughters, Melanie D'Arcy (Chris) of St. Thomas and Angela Doyle (John Brown) of London; his grandchildren, Cameran, John Jr., Charlene, Michael, Matthew and Kaitlyn; his brothers, Bob, Gerald (Sue) and Gordon; and his brother-in-law Tim (Ky). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
