She was predeceased by: her daughter Brenda; her stepson Brian Higgs; her brother Donald Patterson; and her parents, Roderick Patterson and Ina Mae Patterson (Lee).
She is survived by: her children, William "Bill" Higgs (Lynn) of St. Thomas and Annette Hirst; and her stepdaughters, Vicky Dorosz (late Rob) and Kathy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the St. Thomas Animal Shelter.
