He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Horan and Ellen Horan (Grant). He is survived by: his children, Maggie Boss (David), Grant Horan (Ruth), Anita Crocker (Cyril), Nancy Hebert (Jean) and Moya Marr (Jamie); his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Andrew, Jonathan, Mary-Kate, Jean Sebastien, Guillaume, Stephanie, Gillian and Shawn; his great grandchildren, Cecilia, Stephen, Jack Jeremiah, Nathan and Élodie; and his siblings, Bernice Keough, Maureen Ryan, Imelda Howlett, Claudine Horan, Bernadine Sorensen, Rosalie Ann Browne, Sharon Short, Thomas Horan and Moya Kavanagh. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital (Palliative Care Unit).
