He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gail McNicoll; his children, Sam McNicoll Pratt (Sandy), Jill Wilson (David) and John McNicoll (Sue); his granddaughters, Katherine Kroeker (Merle) and Jessica Wilson (Tom Griffin); his great grandchildren, Parker, Kennedy, Michael Wilson, Christine Kriz (Trevor), Christopher, Andrew Jack and Lauren McNicoll; his sister Sandra Attewell (Bill); his siblings-in-law, Ann Kloosterman (late Herman) and Hans Kloosterman; his parents, John McNicoll and Jessie McNicoll of Scotland September; and also, Lilly and Forrest. He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
