She was predeceased by: her parent Carl H. Parks. She is survived by: her spouse William "Bill" Thornton; her children, Mary Eileen Vernackt (Christopher) and Lana Helene Thornton-Petten (Greg); her grandchildren, Sarah Abbott and Anita Vernackt; her siblings, Helene P. Parks and John G. Parks; and her parent Mary Parks (Doherty).
