He is survived by: his mother Gerda Pennings (late Henk); his fiancée Liz McConnell; his children, Valerie Slingerland (Derek), Matthew Pennings (Julianna), Justin Pennings (Jennifer), Megan Van Dyk (Richard), Lisa Dekker (Dave), Philip Pennings, Bethany Naves (Mark), Lauren Kielstra (Tim), Luke Pennings and Simon Pennings; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jack, Kaylie, Isabel, Keem, Aaralyn, Melody, Katrina, Levi, Emily, Jacob, Ethan, Abigail, Clara, Weston, Madilyn, Joshua, Hudson, Mikayla, Jodie, Curtis, Theo and Ruby; his siblings, Frank Pennings (Adriana), Joanne Fousert (Frank), Linda Brouwer (Allan), Diane Postma (Rick) and Lucy Van Eyk (John); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Pennings (late Ron), Liz Doré (Steve), Rudy Haveman, Henry Haveman (Chris), Pam Orchard (John) and Teresa.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Free Reformed Church of St. Thomas (145 St George St, St Thomas, ON N5P2M3). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
