She was predeceased by: her spouse J. J. Carl Axson; her son Kurt Axson; her brothers-in-law, Fred Axson and Edward Axson; and her parents, Thomas Gatensby and Eilleen Gatensby.

She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Wheatley; her grandchildren, Shaun Wheatley (late Becky) of St. Thomas and Bree Wheatley of St. Thomas; her sibling Shirley Amodeo (late Arthur) of Maple, ON.; and her brothers-in-law, Frank St. Pierre (late Annette) of McKerrow, ON and Ronald Hillman (late Ruth) of St. Thomas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
