He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Gathercole; his sibling-in-law Gail James; and his parents, Victor Gathercole and Stella Gathercole (Crawford). He is survived by: his wife Pamela Gathercole (Freeland); his sons, Gordon Gathercole (Nathalie) and Sean Gathercole (Tina); his grandchildren, Tiffine (Ryan), Cora, Andrew (Sara), Jesse, Avery, Hailey, Harper, Riley and Zoey; his siblings, Jim Gathercole (Heather) and Rita Cushman (Paul); his sisters-in-law, Paula Schummer (Gary), Priscilla Hindley (Vic) and Carol Baker (Don); his siblings, John (Ruth Resendes), Pat (Paula Parker), Joe (Lynn Parker), Carl (Mary Margaret Bartlett) and Jack (Janice Parker); and his friend Dr. Darius Ho. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
