He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Ruth Lawrence; his sister Marion Penny; and his parents, Winifred Lawrence and Frederick Lawrence. He is survived by: his children, Susan Fordham (Monty), Caroline Gulbronson (Rob) and David Lawrence (Betty Lou Gwartney); his grandchildren, Kathleen (Mitch), Jeanne (MacKay), Sarah (Wade), Thomas, Emily, Alison (Rodger), Jeffrey, Christopher and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Alex, Liam, Thayne and Maeve; and his friend June Haines. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer society or Knox Presbyterian Church.
