He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Margaret" Barnhardt; his siblings, Marguerite Fish, Donald Barnhardt, Dorothy Barnhardt and Helen Hakin; and his parents, Ellis George and Jennie Blanche Barnhardt.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Barnhardt, James Barnhardt (Alice), Pamela Xuereb (Ray), Rudy Barnhardt (Carolyn) and Maureen Yeo (Carl); his friend Marilyn Davey; his grandchildren, Robert Gallen (Heeju), Janice Gallen (Jeremy), Jeffery Barnhardt, Emily Xuereb (Steve), Jessica Xuereb (Steve), Andrew Xuereb, Cynthia Chow (Andrew) and Meika Gunning (Pete); and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Liam, Kaylee, Violet, Harvie, Easton, Billie, Rachel and Claire. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
